BIG Weekend Ahead

This upcoming weekend is going to be one of the craziest in a while for multiple reasons. I happen to have more friends coming into town which always creates more partying AND I’m switching to Quo on Saturday’s. Now this doesn’t sound like BIG enough reasons to make it crazy however I am about to explain why. Friday night I will be at Hudson Terrace and the famous DJ Chachi will be providing sound waves for all. If you have never heard of him, google him now and check out some of his mixes. Pure genius. The following night which is my first night at Quo, Lil Jon and LMFAO will be performing throughout the night. Now I am sure you don’t have to google those 2 names but what you do need to know is they provide a great deal of energy. I am expecting this night to be packed which makes for a perfect date to launch the party. I will warn everyone that there will be lines, so arrive as early as possible to beat the crowd.

Tonight there will be bottles everywhere at the famous Marquee. Shoot me a message/text if you would like to come out.

New Year’s Eve

After a short night’s rest due to the loud commotion of all of our guests, it was time to get ready for the biggest night of the year in the greatest city on the planet, New Year’s Eve. I have yet to become crazy enough to stand in Time Square all day and night to see a ball slid down a pole so we did the only sane thing, go to a Guastavino’s and stand by the open bar. Now we had the necessary pregame party at the apartment with a select few friends before the actual party started. After everyone got all done up in suits and dresses, I decided I was going to stand out and under dress. It started off as a joke but soon became a reality after a couple of drinks and everyone telling me I wouldn’t do it. Now your probably wondering how underdressed I was and I couldn’t go half assed so I wore a white t-shirt, jeans and a fresh pair of nike low tops. Say what you want, but it pays to stand out. One guy actually stopped and asked me where my shirt was LOL. Looks like I played it perfect. Everyone was wondering who the person was wearing a white t-shirt to an upscale New Year’s Eve party. Anyway, back to the party. It wasn’t as crazy of a party as I thought it would be. Upstairs was more of a quiet, almost dinner party which was WAY to calm for me so I made the wise decision to head downstairs by the DJ. With my friend’s in tow (including Chris who happened to take dance lessons from Carlton) we proceeded to the bar to make some new friends. With more drinks in us than necessary and Chris dancing with every guys’ girlfriend, I figured it was time to check out another party. We made a brief appearance to Blarney Stone where a friend of a friend rented out the whole bar. Wasn’t a bad party however was also not the party we were looking for. With plans to head to Amnesia for an after party, we made a detoured stop at my roommate, the multiple MVP award winner, Bobby’s bar, Local West where they had a private party. The place was packed with a bunch of his friend’s from Cornell as well as others of course. I ended up getting distracted by an idea proposed by multiple others and decided to move the after party back to my apartment. Ended with several other bodies sleeping in the apartment which went from looking like a homeless shelter to looking like a huge orgy. Wish I had some videos and pictures from the night however I left the camera home in fear of losing it LOL. Any pictures I receive from others will be posted. After being a guest of Ryan Callahan at the Ranger’s game and in the Green Room, it was time to show all my friend’s, that came for New Year’s, what I do on a day to day basis. We headed to (as I have said several times) my favorite club, Kiss &Fly. Showed up and to my surprise, the door was mobed with people. We showed up at 12 when I always do however it was not early enough. The crowd made for longer wait times that I had liked however I did finally get everyone in and after the alcohol started flowing, everyone soon forgot. Our table had layers of people on the crowd, the couch and the ledge behind the couch. One of our friend’s was celebrating her 21st birthday which only added to the insanity that the night was going to create. My boys Chris Kastner and Ryan Lowe were busy showing New York City what they had to offer the dance floor which didn’t amount to much. Chris should continue watching the “How-to” videos on youtube for his next trip LOL. Since they were all visiting from out of town we had to introduce them to the best pizza that NYC has to offer, Famous Joe’s on 6th ave and Carmine. After eating til we couldn’t move, everyone seemed to agree that it really was the best pizza. With several gallons of water consumed before bed, and bodies everywhere as if it were a homeless shelter, we could finally rest.

New Year’s in the City that Never Sleeps

On any given night in the great city of New York there is an endless number of options to chose from when looking to go out, so how is it supposed to get easier for the biggest night of the year? That’s why I am here. I have set up a site dedicated to just that, a list of the best parties depending on what you are looking for. I even have access to a couple of other venues that are not listed including Veranda and Local West(Run by my roommate). If you are looking for a large venue such as M2 Ultra Lounge or a small bar like Local West, I am determined to HELP make your night one that you will never forget. Just to ensure that I’m not a liar, take pictures so that you can atleast try and remember how fun it was LOL. As of now, I will be taking a group to Guastavino’s on 59th St(See pics below). Guastavino’s is a private event space that has hosted a wide range of parties for celebrities including Pete Wentz, Brad Pitt, and Christina Aguilera. This particular party will be hosted by Kelly Killoren Bensimon from the Real Housewives of New York and will also include open bar from 9pm-3am.

Group rates are available for you and your friends to keep some green presidents in the bank account. Let me know if you plan to be in the Big Apple to bring in the New Year and if you have any questions regarding a particular party. Use your resources! If i have some questions about money, I would go to my accountant or banker. Use me for your party/event questions.

Greenhouse 12/17

After a week packed with celebrity events at Greenhouse including Alicia Keys Album release party, an appearance by Chris Brown and not to mention a rumored appearance by Lady Gaga on Monday, I assumed that it may be slower than usual but this was not the case. There was a perfect amount of people in the club without it being uncomfortable and the music, as always, was on point. We started with a couple of bottles upstairs, then moved downstairs for some of our techno lovers with a bottle of champagne, then back upstairs to finish the night off above the DJ booth. It was like a drunken game of musical chairs and I’ll take the award as the winner . This time I do not have photo evidence however the camera will be out tonight. For all of you who are following the articles, (Thanks!!) you know we had to make the stop at Famous Joe’s Pizza for some slices. After eating several slices, we made the intelligent decision to purchase a christmas tree at 4am and look like a couple of hillbillies with a tree half way out trunk of the taxi. At first the driver wasn’t having it but after a little persuasion by a couple of drunks, he found the humor in the situation. The night was an accoomplishment, several bottles down and a new christmas tree. Let’s see how we will create history tonight. The MVP award will go out to Bobby (Facebook: http://bit.ly/5ymO7c) once again for carrying a bottle around the whole night in his coat pocket to make the game of “The traveling nomad” much easier. He was also one who made the executive decision to acquire a christmas tree at 4am. Needless to say our doormen, who we make laugh every night by some outrageous act, definitely got a kick out of us showing up with a christmas tree in a taxi.

I will be going to Hudson Terrace tonight. Let’s see who will be acting outrageous or what we can do to create some laughs for everyone. Don’t be the person who is sitting on their couch reading this, mad because they decided to stay in and eat a whole tub of cheese puffs and missed the fun. See you there.

Now I have always understood that December is the slowest month of the year but Marquee’s Tuesday party has taken a big hit. The majority of tables were empty and just as last week, they closed the back room to fill up all the empty space in the main room. Unfortunately nothing too exciting happened. I almost wish I could create a story to make it sound exciting but I would hate to do that. It was just a normal party on a slow night. The music was good obviously but I believe its a dieing party. There was one girl who walked in with her own security and seemed to be spending a lot of money however no one in the place knew who she was. I tried everything to find out short of jumping over her security but had no luck. I’m looking to switch to Kiss&Fly or Tenjune on Tuesdays so we can continue the craziness. I will keep you guys posted as to where we go. Even though the party was slow, I did find someone to receive the MVP(Most Valuable Partygoer) award last night, it was Fran from Ireland. I’m not sure what they do overseas when they breed but this man was hilarious. He couldn’t turn down a drink because he didn’t want to “let down his ancestors” LOL. He had never been to the states and he is now here with his girlfriend seeing the greatest city in the world. He will be joining us at Kiss&Fly tonight, so all of you in attendance, will get to experience a great night(not that it would be any different with just me LOL). Also heard that Jay-Z and Akon were at Greenhouse last night enjoying themselves. Not sure how long they stayed but I did receive a text last night that they were there.

Tonight we will be at Kiss&Fly creating history in one way or another, so why not join and get your mark in the books. See you there.

Monday 12/7: Angels & Kings

Just because we don’t currently have a Monday party, does not mean we are at home sleeping. Every once in awhile it is nice to have a night to yourself however sitting on the couch is quite boring compared to a night out on the town. We took a trip down to the Lower East Side to bar hop, see some old friends, and meet some new ones. Went to an old stomping ground, Angels & Kings(owned by Pete Wentz) to see our good friend, Jesse Jordan who is the head bartender. On Mondays, they now have a live performance which left the bar packed. Kurshot’s sister also had some friends in town from University of Pittsburgh so we did our best to show them a good time and I think we succeeded. Kurshot decided to be their “wingman” for the night and help introduce them to some guys who were there and by the luck of the draw, the first one ended up being Paul from the band “Boys like Girls”. He ended up being very humble about the situation and chatted for a little. They had some drinks with him and took some pics so they could have “proof” for their friends back at college LOL. Now that we were in the same area as Joe’s PIzza, you know we had to take the out of towners for the best slices in NYC. We got the girls to get behind the counter and help make some pies. First started off with just the cheese, then the next pizza they kneaded the dough, help spread the sauce and topped it off with cheese. I think they may be getting interviewed for the position next time in town, natural talent. Now that we were all stuffed with pizza, it was time to go home before they had to roll us out of there. Hopefully the PITT girls had as much fun as we did. MVP(Most Valuable Partygoer) goes to “Eggs” from PITT. She was constantly creating laughs for all, whether or not it was on purpose.

Tonight we will be poppin’ bottles at Marquee. Come through and compete for the MVP award.

Highline Ballroom 12/5

Now first things first I have to admit that I was very wrong about this venue. We switched to Highline Ballroom after M2 started going downhill and I would send others to attend because I did not believe in the party. Now I don’t know how long I will keep everyone here but it’s a great time. With that out of the way, I can get to the night. We started at Pop Burger around 10pm with some friends. There was actually a lot of people there which provided a nice chill environment where everyone could get some food/drinks and enjoy themselves before we strolled over to the club. If you haven’t been there, it’s more of a lounge with 10 tables or so for bottle/food clients and then a full bar obviously. Nice way to start the night and it is conveniently located 1.5 blocks from Highline. Before everyone could start to feel tired after all of the food that was consumed we had to get them stimulated by loud music and lots of lights LOL. When we showed up there was a good sized line which lifted my hopes for what could and would end up being a great night. Had some friends from high school in town for their birthdays so we got the bottles coming to make sure it was one that they wouldn’t remember. They had 2 DJ’s that were switching back and forth throughout the night which made for a very unique mix of sounds. Everything about the party was on point which brought me to like the venue. They also hired some of the dancers from M2 to keep the guys(and some girls) drooling all over the dance floor. Now that M2 is running out of money they have been cutting some of the dancing staff which has caused them to go else where. According to a friend who is one of the dancers who left M2, Highline is more flexible and less demanding. Flagged down a yellow Ford outside who would end up being our designated driver for the night. Because of NYC Taxi we no longer have to play rock, paper, scissor for who is going to drive home. Its a great thing. Chad Carpenter is the one taking the MVP award for the night. He was all over the dance floor providing choreography for anyone who wants to dance like Kevin James in the movie Hitch LOL(if you haven’t seen it, look it up for some laughs). Thanks Chad for gladly taking the award and visiting NYC. Taking the next couple of nights off however we will pick back up on Tuesday with Marquee. See you there and thanks always for the support .
